By default, Principals and Teachers are the only users able to create groups. When a teacher creates a group, the group is associated with (created under) the school they belong to. The teacher is able to add students they teach to the group and invite anybody in the school community to join the group. No one outside the school community can be invited to join the group or see the group.
To create a Group:
- From the home screen, click the My Groups panel title.
- The Groups list window appears. Click Create in the top right corner of the window.
- The Create Group form appears. Fill out the Name, Group Type, Show To, Membership, and Permission fields. Add relevant Tags & Search Terms to help your group be found by users with similar interests.
- Click Create Group and the Group will appear on the My Groups panel.
